MERCHANT SHIPPING (LOCAL VESSELS) (DWELLING VESSELS) REGULATION - SECT 5

Owner to notify Director of change in ownership

(1) If, at any time while a licence is in force, a change occurs in the
ownership of the dwelling vessel in respect of which the licence is issued,
the new owner of the vessel shall, within 72 hours after the occurrence of the
change, notify the Director of the change in a form specified by the Director
and deliver the licence to the Director for amendment.

(2) On receipt of a notification of a change in ownership given under
subsection (1), the Director shall cause the particulars of the change to be
noted, free of charge, on the licence issued in respect of the vessel
concerned.

(3) A person who, without reasonable excuse, contravenes subsection

(1) commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine at level 2 and to
imprisonment for 6 months.
