PILOTAGE (DUES) ORDER - PARAGRAPH 2 Pilotage dues VerDate:30/06/1997 The pilotage dues shall be those specified in the Schedule. PILOTAGE (DUES) ORDER - PARAGRAPH 3 Fees and maintenance of pilot carried out of Hong Kong VerDate:30/06/1997 (1) A licensed pilot who is carried without his consent beyond Hong Kong or beyond the point outside Hong Kong to which he was engaged to pilot a ship shall be maintained while he is on the ship in the same way as an officer of the ship and shall be paid, in addition to the pilotage dues- (a) reasonable travelling expenses (including, if necessary, first class air fares) to enable him to return to Hong Kong if he leaves the ship outside Hong Kong; and (L.N. 432 of 1984) (b) an additional fee of $1500 per day. (L.N. 432 of 1984; L.N. 447 of 1990) (2) The additional fee specified in paragraph 3(1)(b) shall be payable for the day on which the ship leaves Hong Kong or passes beyond the point outside Hong Kong to which the licensed pilot was engaged to pilot the ship and for each day until, and inclusive of, the day on which the ship returns to Hong Kong, or, if the licensed pilot leaves the ship outside Hong Kong, for each day which is reasonably required for him to return to Hong Kong inclusive of the day of return. PILOTAGE (DUES) ORDER - SCHEDULE SCHEDULE VerDate:01/06/2008 [paragraph 2] PART I STANDARD PILOTAGE DUES FOR PILOTAGE OF SHIPS INTO AND OUT OF THE HARBOUR, WITHIN HARBOUR LIMITS AND OUTSIDE HARBOUR LIMITS 1. For every ship piloted, a pilotage due of $4100 plus- (L.N. 111 of 2005; L.N. 70 of 2008) (a) for ships having a gross registered tonnage of less than 30000 tons, $0.065 per ton of the ship's gross registered tonnage; (L.N. 234 of 2002; L.N. 70 of 2008) (b) for ships having a gross registered tonnage of or above 30000 tons but not exceeding 60000 tons, $0.0625 per ton of the ship's gross registered tonnage or $1950, whichever is the greater; (L.N. 234 of 2002; L.N. 111 of 2005; L.N. 70 of 2008) (c) for ships having a gross registered tonnage exceeding 60000 tons but not exceeding 120000 tons, $0.06 per ton of the ship's gross registered tonnage or $3750, whichever is the greater; or (L.N. 234 of 2002; L.N. 111 of 2005; L.N. 70 of 2008) (d) for ships having a gross registered tonnage exceeding 120000 tons, $7200. (L.N. 70 of 2008) Notes: (a) The pilotage dues specified in this Part include all costs incurred by a pilot in travelling to and from a ship. (b) Pilotage dues for pilotage into the harbour include anchoring in the quarantine anchorage and moving a ship from such anchorage to a buoy, wharf or other anchorage. (c) The pilotage dues payable by warships under this Part shall be calculated on the basis of displacement tonnage instead of gross registered tonnage. PART II ADDITIONAL PILOTAGE DUES 1. An additional pilotage due of $1400 per hour or part thereof (after the first hour) shall be payable for any pilotage service performed in the movement of oil rigs. 2. An additional pilotage due equal to 100% overall of the standard pilotage dues shall be payable for any pilotage service performed in the movement of dead ships as defined in the Shipping and Port Control Ordinance (Cap 313). 3 An additional pilotage due equal to 100% overall of the standard pilotage dues shall be payable for any pilotage service if the whole or any part thereof is performed while any tropical cyclone warning signal other than the Standby Signal No. 1 is issued. An additional pilotage due of $700 per half an hour or part thereof shall be payable for any pilotage service performed, where a pilot is required to proceed outwards beyond a pilot boarding area, from the time the ship passes a pilot boarding area outwards until the ship passes a pilot boarding area inwards. An additional pilotage due of $1900 shall be payable for any pilotage service performed, where a pilot is required to board a ship or disembark from a ship off Ngan Chau or at the west of Lamma Island. An additional pilotage due of $2000 shall be payable for any pilotage service performed, where a pilot is required to board a ship or disembark from a ship west of a straight line drawn from Pearl Island to East Brother Island. An additional pilotage due of $1250 shall be payable for any pilotage service performed, where a pilot is required to board a ship or disembark from a ship north of a straight line drawn from Black Point to Lung Kwu Chau Light. Where a pilot is detained there shall be payable for such detention an additional pilotage due of $1200 per half an hour or part thereof for the first hour, $1200 for the second hour or part thereof and $1200 per hour or part thereof for any further period of detention. An additional pilotage due equal to 50% overall of the standard pilotage dues shall be payable for any pilotage service which is provided on notice of less than 3 hours. 8 An additional pilotage due of $3500 shall be payable for any pilotage service performed, where a pilot is required to board a ship or disembark from a ship at Tolo Harbour. (L.N. 611 of 1995; L.N. 234 of 1996) PART III DUES PAYABLE WHERE ENGAGEMENT IS CANCELLED OR ALTERED 1. If the engagement of a pilot is cancelled,- (a) within 1.5 hours before the last stated time of a requirement for pilotage services at Tolo Harbour or at the west of East Brother Island; or (b) within 1 hour before the last stated time of a requirement for pilotage services elsewhere, a pilotage due of $4100 shall be payable. (L.N. 111 of 2005; L.N. 70 of 2008) 2. If the engagement of a pilot is altered within 2 to 3 hours of the last stated time of requirement, an additional pilotage due of $300 shall be payable. 3. If the engagement of a pilot is altered more than twice then an additional pilotage due of $300 shall be payable for the third and each subsequent alteration.
