PILOTAGE REGULATIONS - REGULATION 8
Power of Authority to give directions

Adaptation amendments retroactively made - see 64 of 1999 s. 3
(1) The Authority may give to a licensed pilot such directions as he considers
necessary for the regulation of shipping in the waters of Hong Kong, including
directions requiring a licensed pilot to perform for any ship such pilotage
service as may be requested by or on behalf of the master or owner of the
ship. (64 of 1999 s. 3)
(2) It shall be the duty of a licensed pilot to comply with any directions
given under paragraph (1).
