BANKRUPTCY (FORMS) RULES - RULE 2

Use of forms in Schedule

(1) Subject to the provisions of paragraph (2), the forms in the Schedule
where applicable, and where they are not applicable forms of the like
character, with such variations as circumstances may require, shall be used.
Where such forms are applicable, any costs occasioned by the use of any other
or more prolix forms shall be borne by or disallowed to the party using the
same, unless the court otherwise directs.

(2) The Chief Justice may from time to time amend any form in the Schedule or
prescribe any new form. Where the Chief Justice amends any form or prescribes
any new form, such amended or new form shall be published in the Gazette. [cf.

____ Notes: 1. Please see the transitional provisions contained in s. 3 of
L.N. 81 of 1998, which section is reproduced as follows: "3. Transitional

(1) Subject to subrule (2), where before these Rules come into operation-

   (a)  a petition in bankruptcy has been presented; or

   (b)  a receiving order or adjudication in bankruptcy has been made, under
        the Ordinance, then the principal Rules and Forms as they existed
        before being amended by these Rules shall continue to apply to
        proceedings in respect of such a petition, receiving order or
        adjudication in bankruptcy.

(2) Forms 81 to 88 contained in Schedule 7 of these Rules shall apply to
proceedings referred to in subrule (1).".

2. L.N. 81 of 1998 came into operation on 1 April 1998.
