FACTORIES AND INDUSTRIAL UNDERTAKINGS (ELECTRICITY) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 4
Modification of requirements by Commissioner
(1) Where the Commissioner is satisfied that strict compliance with all or any
of these regulations is, in any particular circumstances, not necessary for
the prevention of electrical hazard, he may, by certificate in writing under
his hand, modify any such requirements if he is satisfied that reasonable
freedom from electrical hazard can otherwise be secured or that no increase in
electrical hazard will result.
(2) In granting such modification the Commissioner shall specify any special
work or requirement he considers necessary to ensure reasonable freedom from
electrical hazard.
(3) The Commissioner may, by certificate in writing under his hand, rescind
any modification if he is satisfied that the electrical hazard has thereby
been unduly increased.
