FACTORIES AND INDUSTRIAL UNDERTAKINGS (LIFTING APPLIANCES AND LIFTING GEAR) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 7A

Periodical inspection by a competent person

The owner of a lifting appliance shall ensure that it is not used unless it
has been inspected within the preceding 7 days by a competent person and the
competent person has given the owner a certificate in the approved form in
which he has made a statement to the effect that the lifting  appliance is in
safe working order. (L.N. 285 of 1993)
