Multiple slings

The owner of any double or multiple sling shall ensure that it is not used in
raising or lowering or as a means of suspension if-

   (a)  the upper ends of the sling legs are not connected by means of a
        shackle, ring or link of adequate strength; or

   (b)  the safe working load of any sling leg is exceeded as a result of the
        angle between the sling legs. (L.N. 285 of 1993)
