PART VA

SCAFFOLDS, WORKING PLATFORMS AND LADDERS, ETC.

Without prejudice to the other provisions of this Part, the contractor
responsible for any construction site shall ensure that-

   (a)  there is, so far as is reasonably practicable, suitable and sufficient
        safe access to and egress from every place on the site at which any
        person at any time works, which access and egress shall be properly
        maintained; and (L.N. 307 of 1998)

   (b)  every place on the site at which any person at any time works shall,
        so far as is reasonably practicable, be made and kept safe for any
        person working there.
