Exemption where first aid room provided in notifiable workplace

(1) If a room is provided in a notifiable workplace for the sole purpose of
providing first aid or medical treatment, and arrangements are made so as to
ensure the treatment therein of all injuries occurring in the workplace, the
Commissioner may by notice in writing exempt the workplace from the
requirements of these regulations to such extent and subject to such
conditions as he may specify in the notice. (50 of 1985 s. 9)

(2) Such a notice shall be prominently displayed in the room provided.
