DEPOSIT PROTECTION SCHEME (ASSET MAINTENANCE) RULES - SECT 8

Offences

If a Scheme member fails to comply with a requirement that is issued to it
under section 5(1), every director and every chief executive of the Scheme
member commits an offence and is liable—

   (a)  on summary conviction to a fine at level 6 and to imprisonment for 6
        months and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine of
        $10000 for each day during which the offence continues; or

   (b)  on conviction on indictment to a fine of $400000 and to imprisonment
        for 2 years and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further
        fine of $20000 for each day during which the offence continues.
