CHINESE MEDICINES REGULATION - SECT 21

Other duties of wholesalers in proprietary Chinese medicines-keeping of transaction records

(1) A holder of a wholesaler licence in proprietary Chinese medicines shall
ensure that every transaction whereby a proprietary Chinese medicine is
acquired, received, exported, sold or distributed by him is evidenced by an
invoice or other document.

(2) The licence holder shall ensure that the invoice or other document
evidencing the transaction contains the following particulars in respect of
the transaction-

   (a)  the date of the transaction;

   (b)  the name and quantity of the medicine acquired, received, exported,
        sold or distributed, as the case may be;

   (c)  the name, address and telephone number of-

        (i)    the person who imports, sells or distributes the medicine to
               him; or

        (ii)   the person to whom he exports, sells or distributes the
               medicine, as the case may be; and

   (d)  the reference number of the invoice or other document.

(3) The licence holder shall also ensure that the invoice or other document
evidencing the transaction is retained in the premises to which the licence
relates for a period of not less than 2 years from the date of the
transaction.
