CHINESE MEDICINE PRACTITIONERS (REGISTRATION) REGULATION - SECT 36

Obligation to attend and give evidence

(1) Subject to subsection (2), any person who being summoned to attend as a
witness at an inquiry held in accordance with Part IV or a hearing held in
accordance with Part VI-

   (a)  refuses or neglects to do so; or

   (b)  refuses to answer any question put to him-

        (i)    by the Council or the Board; or

        (ii)   with the concurrence of the Council or the Board, commits an
               offence and is liable to a fine at level 3 and to imprisonment
               for 6 months.

(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), no person shall be bound to incriminate
himself and every witness shall, in respect of any evidence given by him
before the Council or the Board, be entitled to the privileges to which he
would be entitled if he was giving evidence before a court of justice.
