MERCHANT SHIPPING (LOCAL VESSELS) (FEES) REGULATION - SECT 40

Services required for certain official purposes

(1) The Director may waive the fee to be paid under this Regulation

(except section 33(1)) in respect of any service for a relevant matter that is
carried out at the request of any public body, or the representative of a
government other than the Government of Hong Kong, for official purposes.

(2) The Director may waive the fee to be paid under section 33(1) in respect
of the issue of a certified true copy of a document that—

   (a)  is issued at the request of the Central People's Government, or the
        representative of a government other than the Government of Hong Kong;
        and

   (b)  is required for official purposes.
