Eligibility for certification as the owner

Certificate of ownership: Application, issue and endorsements

A person is eligible to be named as the owner of a local vessel in the
certificate of ownership in respect of the vessel if the person—

   (a)  owns the vessel; or

   (b)  is the person to whom the vessel is let under a hire-purchase
        agreement in respect of the vessel and is entitled to possession of
        the vessel.
