This Order was originally made under section 2(2) of Schedule 2 to Cap 
542. That Schedule was repealed by the Chief Executive Election Ordinance 
(Cap 569) with effect from 21 September 2001 but section 2(2) was 
re-enacted as section 6(2) of the Schedule to Cap 569. This Order 
therefore continued in force as if made under Cap 569 until a new Order 
made under section 6(2) of the Schedule to Cap 569, namely, the 
Distribution of Number of Members among Designated Bodies (Election 
Committee) Order 2001 (Cap 569 sub. leg. D), came into operation on 23 
November 2001.

Distribution of number of members among designated bodies VerDate:03/03/2000




(1)	The number of members allocated to the religious subsector 
under Table 3 of Schedule 2 to the Ordinance is distributed among the 
designated bodies so that a designated body specified in column 2 of the 
Schedule is allocated the number of members specified opposite to it in 
column 3.

(2)	In this section "designated body" (指定團體) means a designated 
body within the meaning of section 2(1) of Schedule 2 to the Ordinance.
