Offence of false statement

(Past version on 06/02/2004).

(1) A person must not—

   (a)  in any document used in connection with any request, application or
        objection made under this Regulation, or in any evidence given at any
        hearing under this Regulation, make any statement that the person
        knows to be false in a material particular;

   (b)  in any document or evidence referred to in paragraph (a), recklessly
        make any statement that is incorrect in a material particular; or

   (c)  knowingly omit any material particular from any document or evidence
        referred to in paragraph (a).

(2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable
to a fine at level 2 and to imprisonment for 6 months.
