Ballot papers to be sealed

PART 7

DISPOSAL OF DOCUMENTS

(1) The Returning Officer shall, in the counting zone, as soon as practicable
after that Officer has ascertained the result of the poll, make up into
separate sealed packets-

   (a)  the counted ballot papers;

   (b)  the counterfoils of the ballot papers that have been issued;

   (c)  the ballot papers that have not been issued; and

   (d)  the ballot papers that are not counted pursuant to section 62.

(2) The Returning Officer shall endorse on each sealed packet-

   (a)  a description of its contents;

   (b)  the date of the election; and

   (c)  the name and the type of the Village concerned.

(3) A candidate, an election agent or a counting agent may be present when the
Returning Officer makes up the sealed packets and endorses them.
