Determination and notice of time of counting of votes

PART 6

COUNTING OF VOTES

(1) The Returning Officer shall determine the time at which the counting of
the votes is to begin.

(2) The time determined under subsection (1) shall be a time after the close
of the poll for the Village concerned.

(3) The Returning Officer shall give notice in writing to each candidate or a
counting agent appointed by him of-

   (a)  the address of the counting station at which the counting of the votes
        for the Village is to take place; and

   (b)  the time determined under subsection (1).

(4) A notice under subsection (3) shall be given-

   (a)  (in the case of the counting of the votes for a postponed or adjourned
        poll) as soon as practicable after the determination of the time under
        subsection (1);

   (b)  (in the case of a postponement or adjournment of the counting of the
        votes) as soon as practicable after the determination of the time
        under subsection (1); or

   (c)  (in any other case) at least 24 hours before the time determined under
        subsection (1).
