ELECTORAL PROCEDURE (VILLAGE REPRESENTATIVE ELECTION) REGULATION - SECT 16

Returning Officer to declare candidate to be duly elected in uncontested election

(1) A declaration under section 29(1) of the Election Ordinance shall be made
by the Returning Officer in the notice published for the Village concerned in
accordance with section 15 or in a separate notice.

(2) A separate notice under subsection (1) shall-

   (a)  be in the specified form;

   (b)  be published in the Gazette within 14 days after the close of 
        nominations; and

   (c)  state the name and the principal residential address of the candidate
        declared to be duly elected as a Resident Representative or an
        Indigenous Inhabitant Representative, as the case may be, for the
        Village.
