ELECTORAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION (ELECTORAL PROCEDURE) (ELECTION COMMITTEE) REGULATION - SECT 50
Ballot paper to be issued to person only if Presiding Officer is satisfied of person's identity
(1) The Presiding Officer must not issue a ballot paper to a person unless
that Officer is satisfied by inspecting that person's identity document or
any other document showing the person's name and photograph that he or she is
the person registered in the subsector final register, whom he or she claims
to be.
(2) A person is not to be prevented from voting only due to an omission or
inaccuracy of a particular required to be recorded in the
subsector final register, other than the omission of both the person's name
and the identity document number.
