ELECTORAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION (ELECTORAL PROCEDURE) (DISTRICT COUNCILS) REGULATION - SECT 86

Chief Electoral Officer to retain election documents for at least 6 months

The Chief Electoral Officer must retain in that Officer's custody the
documents sent under section 84 for at least 6 months from the date of the
election to which they relate. That Officer must thereafter, unless directed
by an order of court in proceedings relating to an election petition or
criminal proceedings, destroy them.
