ELECTORAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION (ELECTORAL PROCEDURE) (DISTRICT COUNCILS) REGULATION - SECT 57
Procedure for voting
(1) When an elector is issued with a ballot paper, he or she must immediately
go into a voting compartment and mark the ballot paper. After marking the
ballot paper, the elector must, before leaving the voting compartment,
conceal the mark on it in the appropriate manner described in subsection (2)
and put the ballot paper into the ballot box.
(2) An elector must fold the ballot paper so that the marked side is inside
and put the folded ballot paper into the ballot box.
(3) An elector must cast his or her vote without undue delay. An elector must
leave the polling station as soon as he or she has put the ballot paper into
the ballot box.
(4) A person must not put anything other than a marked ballot paper into the
ballot box.
(5) Except where it is provided otherwise in this Regulation, a person must
not remove a ballot paper from a polling station.
(6) In this section "voting compartment" (投票間) means a compartment
provided under section 40(1) for the purpose of marking ballot papers.
