ELECTORAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION (ELECTORAL PROCEDURE) (DISTRICT COUNCILS) REGULATION - SECT 54
Questions to be asked from persons applying for a ballot paper
(1) The Presiding Officer may, at the time a person applies for a
ballot paper, but not afterwards, ask, in case of doubt, the appropriate
questions set out in subsection (2).
(2) The questions referred to in subsection (1) are-
(a) "Are you the person registered in the final register now in effect for
this constituency, as follows (the Presiding Officer to read the whole
entry as it is recorded in the copy or extract of the final register
supplied to that Officer)?" or
"你是否已登記在對本選區有效的正式選民登記冊上的人,並且有關記項一如以
下所述 (the Presiding Officer to read the whole entry as it is
recorded in the copy or extract of the final register supplied to that
Officer)?";
(b) "Have you already voted for this or any other constituency in this
election?" or
"在這次選舉中,你是否已經就本選區或任何其他選區投票?".
(3) The Presiding Officer must ask the appropriate questions set out in
subsection (2) if so required by a candidate, an election agent or a
polling agent.
(4) The Presiding Officer must not give a ballot paper to any person who fails
to answer the questions asked of that person under this section to the
satisfaction of that Officer.
