ELECTORAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION (ELECTORAL PROCEDURE) (LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL) REGULATION - SECT 35

Chief Electoral Officer to supply candidates with copy of final register

(Past version on 21/01/1998).

(1) The Chief Electoral Officer must supply to the candidate on a single
candidates list or the candidate ranking first in priority on a
multiple candidates list, a copy of the part of the final register which
relates to the constituency for which the list of candidates is nominated.

(2) The Chief Electoral Officer must supply to each candidate for a
functional constituency, a copy of the part of the final register which
relates to the constituency for which that candidate is nominated.

(3) (Repealed L.N. 84 of 2004)

(4) A copy under this section must be supplied to a candidate as soon as
practicable after the relevant nomination form is submitted to the
Returning Officer. There may be added to the copy any additional particulars
or information the Chief Electoral Officer thinks fit to include.

(5) The form in which the copy is supplied may be in a printed form, a form
which is capable of being read by a computer or any other form determined by
the Chief Electoral Officer.

(6) The copy for the purposes of this section may be supplied to the
election agent of a candidate instead of the candidate to whom it is required
to be supplied. (L.N. 65 of 2000)
