ELECTORAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION (ELECTORAL PROCEDURE) (LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL) REGULATION - SECT 34

Chief Electoral Officer to appoint or remove Presiding Officer for each polling station

(1) The Chief Electoral Officer must appoint a person to preside at each
polling station.

(2) The Chief Electoral Officer may appoint, as polling officers, persons that
Officer considers suitable to assist the Presiding Officer in the conduct of a
poll. (L.N. 65 of 2000)

(3) The Chief Electoral Officer may at any time revoke the appointment of any
Presiding Officer or polling officer made under subsection (1) or (2). (L.N.
