(1) The Chief Electoral Officer may assign-
(a) for each geographical constituency, one or more polling stations to
conduct polling for that constituency;
(b) for each special functional constituency, one or more polling
stations to conduct polling for that constituency; and
(c) for the Election Committee election, one or more polling stations to
conduct polling for that election.
(2) If the Chief Electoral Officer so determines-
(a) a GC polling station may also be used for polling for one or more
functional constituencies;
(b) an SFC polling station may also be used for polling for one or more
geographical constituencies and functional constituencies (in addition
to the functional constituency it is assigned for); and
(c) an EC polling station may also be used for polling for one or more
constituencies.
(3) The Chief Electoral Officer must allocate to each elector and
authorized representative a polling station to cast the vote or votes that
person is entitled to cast at an election.
(4) If an elector is entitled to vote only for a geographical constituency,
the Chief Electoral Officer must allocate to that elector a polling station
close to the elector's registered residential address, to cast his or her vote
for the geographical constituency.
(5) If at an election, a person is entitled to vote-
(a) as an elector for a Part 3 functional constituency but not as an
authorized representative for a special functional constituency;
(b) as an authorized representative for a Part 3 functional constituency
(but not as an elector for a special functional constituency or in the
Election Committee election); or
(c) as an elector for a Part 3 functional constituency and as an
authorized representative for another Part 3 functional constituency,
the Chief Electoral Officer may allocate to that person his or her GC
polling station to cast his or her geographical constituency vote and
the other vote or votes he or she is entitled to cast at the election.
(6) If at an election, a person is entitled to vote-
(a) as an elector for a special functional constituency;
(b) as an elector for a special functional constituency and as an
authorized representative for another special functional constituency;
(c) as an elector for a special functional constituency and as an
authorized representative for a Part 3 functional constituency;
(d) as an authorized representative for a special functional constituency
and as an elector for a Part 3 functional constituency; or
(e) as an authorized representative for a special functional constituency
(but not in the Election Committee election), the Chief Electoral
Officer may allocate to that person his or her SFC polling station to
cast his or her vote for the geographical constituency and the other
vote or votes he is entitled to cast at the election.
(7) If at an election, a person is entitled to vote-
(a) in the Election Committee election; or
(b) in the Election Committee election and as an authorized
representative for a functional constituency, the Chief Electoral
Officer may allocate to that person an EC polling station to cast his
or her vote for the geographical constituency and the other vote or
votes he is entitled to cast at the election.
(8) Subsection (1) is not to be construed as limiting the Chief Electoral
Officer's power to assign a polling station to conduct the polling for a Part
3 functional constituency.
(9) In this section, in relation to-
(a) an elector, a reference to his or her GC polling station is to be
construed as the GC polling station he or she would have been
allocated under subsection (4), if he or she was entitled to vote only
for a geographical constituency;
(b) an elector of a special functional constituency (whether or not he or
she is an authorized representative for another special functional
constituency) a reference to his or her SFC polling station is to be
construed as a polling station assigned for the special functional
constituency for which he or she is an elector; and
(c) an authorized representative for a special functional constituency
(who is not an elector of another special functional constituency), a
reference to his or her SFC polling station is to be construed as a
