UNITED NATIONS SANCTIONS (IRAQ) (CONTROL OF GOLD, SECURITIES, PAYMENTS AND CREDITS) REGULATION - SECT 2
Penalties
(1) If any person contravenes or fails to comply with this Regulation, he
shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable-
(a) on conviction on indictment to a fine and to imprisonment for 2 years;
(b) on summary conviction to a fine at level 6 and to imprisonment for 6
months.
(2) Where an offence under this Regulation committed by a body corporate is
proved to have been committed with the consent or connivance of, or to be
attributable to, any neglect on the part of, any director, manager, secretary
or other similar officer of the body corporate or any person who was
purporting to act in any such capacity, he, as well as the body corporate,
shall be guilty of that offence and shall be liable to be proceeded against
and punished accordingly.
(3) No proceedings for an offence against this Regulation shall be instituted
except by or with the consent of the Secretary for Justice.
