This Regulation applies to all material broadcast by a licensee.

Material to be included VerDate:30/06/1997




(1)	(a)	Programmes broadcast by a licensee shall include a 
reasonable proportion of material which is wholly of Hong Kong origin.

        (b)	For the purposes of paragraph (a), material shall only be 
regarded as being wholly of Hong Kong origin if-

        (i)	it has been produced-
(A)	both in substance and in form in Hong Kong; or
(B)	by the licensee by whom it is broadcast, by any employee of 
that licensee, by any company which, in relation to that licensee, is a 
subsidiary company or by any other independent production company engaged 
by that licensee in or outside Hong Kong; and

        (ii)	the Broadcasting Authority is satisfied that it was produced 
primarily for the Hong Kong market.

(2)	The Broadcasting Authority shall specify such proportions as it 
considers reasonable.

(1)	Subject to subsection (2), a licensee shall broadcast news 
covering international and local affairs which shall be presented 
impartially and accurately.

(2)	The requirement in subsection (1) to broadcast news does not 
apply to a programme service licensee but where such a licensee broadcasts 
news, it shall be presented impartially and accurately.
