Recognition of agents

Agents
(1) The Registrar may by notice in writing require an agent to produce
evidence of his authority.
(2) In any particular case the Registrar may require the personal signature or
presence of any person.
(3) Where, after a person has become a party to proceedings before the
Registrar, he appoints an agent for the first time or appoints an agent in
substitution for another, the newly appointed agent shall file the specified
form on or before the first occasion on which he acts as agent.
(4) The Registrar shall not be bound to recognize as an agent any person who
has been convicted of a criminal offence or struck off the roll of barristers
or roll of solicitors kept under and in accordance with the
Legal Practitioners Ordinance ( Cap 159) or to recognize as an agent, during
the term of his suspension, any person who has been suspended from acting as
an attorney, solicitor or proctor.
