REGISTERED DESIGNS RULES - SECT 60
Service of documents on Registrar

(1) Any application, notice, form, evidence or other document required or
authorized to be filed with the Registrar under the Ordinance or by these
Rules must be filed by hand or by post.
(2) Filing by post shall be deemed to be effected by properly addressing,
preparing and posting a letter containing the document, and, unless the
contrary is proved, shall be deemed to have been effected at the time at which
the letter would be delivered in the ordinary course of post.
(3) The Registrar may at his discretion permit, as an alternative to the
filing by hand or by post, the filing of a document by electronic means
subject to such terms as he may specify either generally by notice published
in the Gazette or in any particular case by written notice to the person
wishing to file the document by such means.
