Statement of priority, etc.

(Past version on 30/06/1997).

(1) Where an applicant wishes to claim the priority of a previous application
under section 16 of the Ordinance, the application shall include the statement
of priority and copy of the previous application required by that section.

(2) In addition to the statement of priority and copy of the previous
application, there shall be filed with the application, or within 3 months of
the filing date of the application, a copy of a certificate issued by a
competent authority of the relevant Paris Convention country or WTO member
verifying to the Registrar's satisfaction- (L.N. 38 of 2004)

   (a)  the country, territory or area of filing of the previous application;

   (b)  the filing date of the previous application and its filing number;

   (c)  the representation of the design and the articles covered by the
        previous application.
