GAS SAFETY (GAS SUPPLY) REGULATIONS - REGULATION 24
Application

GAS VEHICLES
(1) Subject to subregulation (4), regulations 25(1), 38(1), 39(1),(2),(3) and
(4), 40 and 41(1) and (2) shall not apply to a motor vehicle in respect of
which there was in force, immediately before the commencement of the
Ordinance, a licence granted under the Dangerous Goods Ordinance ( Cap 295)-
(a) for the purposes of regulation 75(2) of the Dangerous Goods
(General) Regulations ( Cap 295 sub. leg. B); and
(b) authorizing such vehicle to convey liquefied petroleum gas in bulk by
road.
(2) Subject to subregulation (5), regulations 25(2), 38(2), 39(5),(6) and (7)
and 41 shall not apply to a motor vehicle in respect of which there was in
force, immediately before the commencement of the Ordinance, a licence granted
under the Dangerous Goods Ordinance ( Cap 295)-
(a) for the purposes of regulation 75(1) of the Dangerous Goods
(General) Regulations ( Cap 295 sub. leg. B); and
(b) authorizing such vehicle to convey liquefied petroleum gas in
cylinders by road.
(3) The provisions of the Dangerous Goods Ordinance ( Cap 295), including
regulations made thereunder, shall continue to apply to a motor vehicle and
licence granted in respect thereof referred to in subregulation (1) or (2)
until-
(a) there is a valid permit issued in respect of such vehicle; or
(b) the expiration or cancellation of such licence under that Ordinance
(but no such licence may be renewed under that Ordinance), whichever
first occurs.
(4) Regulations 25(1), 38(1), 39(1),(2),(3) and (4), 40 and 41(l) and (2)
shall apply to a motor vehicle referred to in subregulation (1) immediately-
(a) there is a valid permit issued in respect of such vehicle; or
(b) upon the expiration or cancellation under the Dangerous Goods
Ordinance ( Cap 295) of the licence referred to in that subregulation
granted in respect of such vehicle, whichever first occurs.
(5) Regulations 25(2), 38(2), 39(5), (6) and (7) and 41 shall apply to a motor
vehicle referred to in subregulation (2) immediately-
(a) there is a valid permit issued in respect of such vehicle; or
(b) upon the expiration or cancellation under the Dangerous Goods
Ordinance ( Cap 295) of the licence referred to in that subregulation
granted in respect of such vehicle, whichever first occurs. (Enacted
