PATENTS (GENERAL) RULES - SECT 66

Issue of receipt by Registrar

On first receipt of any of the documents comprising an application for a
short-term patent, the Registrar shall-

   (a)  mark the documents with the date of their receipt by him;

   (b)  assign an application number to the application; and

   (c)  issue to the applicant a receipt which shows an application  number,
        the nature and number of the documents received and the date of their
        receipt.
