PATENTS (GENERAL) RULES - SECT 22

Issue of receipt by Registrar

On first receipt of any of the documents comprising a request for registration
and grant, the Registrar shall-

   (a)  mark the documents with the date of their receipt by him; and

   (b)  issue to the applicant a receipt which shows the application  number
        assigned to the matter under section 14(b), the nature and number of
        the documents received and the date of receipt.
