Display of road works permit

(1) Subject to subsection (2), where a road works permit has been issued under
section 16, the person responsible for carrying out the road works shall
display the road works permit or a copy of that permit in some conspicuous
place at, or in the vicinity of, those road works.

(2) Subsection (1) does not apply where the road works are being carried out
from, or by means of, a vehicle, but, in such a case, the driver of the
vehicle shall have with him the road works permit or a copy of that permit and
shall immediately produce it for inspection if so requested by the
Commissioner, the Director, an authorized officer or a police officer.
