Approved trustee to ensure presence of independent trustee at meetings

The approved trustee of an employer sponsored scheme must ensure-

   (a)  that the independent trustee of the scheme is, as far as reasonably
        practicable, present at all meetings of the trustees; and

   (b)  that any decision taken at a meeting of the trustees at which the
        independent trustee is absent does not have effect until it is
        acknowledged in writing by that trustee.
