MANDATORY PROVIDENT FUND SCHEMES (GENERAL) REGULATION - SECT 59

Approved trustee to inform scheme members etc. of requirements relating to voluntary contributions

(1) The approved trustee of a registered scheme must, by written notice,
inform the scheme members and participating employers of the procedure, and
requirements under the scheme, for making changes to the payment of voluntary
contributions. The notice must be given not later than 7 days after the
receipt of inquiry on or request for changing the payment of voluntary
contributions.

(2) If a member of an employer sponsored scheme or a master trust scheme is an
employee of a participating employer, the trustee may arrange to deliver to
the member's employer the written notice required to be given to the member in
subsection (1). In that case, that employer must ensure that the notice is
given to the member within 7 working days after the employer receives it.
