Approved trustee to check calculations of mandatory contributions

Division 4-

Duty of approved trustees and recovery of arrears

(1) On receiving a remittance statement from a participating employer, the
approved trustee of the registered scheme concerned must-

   (a)  check the accuracy of the arithmetical calculation of the amount
        specified in the statement as the mandatory contribution paid in
        respect of each scheme member to which the statement relates; and

   (b)  ensure that the mandatory contribution paid in respect of the employee
        tallies with the amount specified in the statement as the contribution
        so paid.

(2) The approved trustee of a registered scheme must ensure that the amount of
the mandatory contribution received by the approved trustee from a
self-employed person equals the prescribed percentage of the relevant income
of that person.
