HONG KONG COURT OF FINAL APPEAL RULES - RULE 65

Directions by Registrar in matters of practice and procedure

(Past version on 01/07/1997).

(1) Subject to rule 78 and without prejudice to rule 64A, the Registrar may
give such directions in matters of practice and procedure as may be just and
expedient. (L.N. 13 of 1999)

(2) If in the opinion of the Registrar it is desirable that any application
for such direction should be dealt with by the Court, he may direct the
applicant to issue a summons returnable before the Court, and such application
may be heard by a single permanent judge.

(3) Any party aggrieved by a direction given by the Registrar may appeal, by
way of motion, to the Court, and such appeal shall be by way of rehearing by a
single permanent judge.
