AIRPORT AUTHORITY BYLAW - SECT 50

Road Traffic Ordinance

(1) The Road Traffic Ordinance ( Cap 374) and its subsidiary legislation shall
apply to all designated roads. When applied to the designated roads-

   (a)  provisions of the Road Traffic Ordinance ( Cap 374) and its subsidiary
        legislation shall be subject to the provisions of this Bylaw made
        under section 36(3) of the Ordinance and the exclusions and
        modifications set out in Schedule 2;

        (b)	the definitions in the Ordinance or this Bylaw of "the 
Authority", " Bylaw Area", " Land Grant", " designated road", "Authorized
Officer" and " Authorized Person" shall apply to the provisions of the Road 
Traffic Ordinance ( Cap 374) and its subsidiary legislation;

        (c)	references to "road" in the provisions of the Road Traffic 
Ordinance ( Cap 374) and its subsidiary legislation shall include the
designated roads;

        (d)	references to "private road" in the provisions of the Road 
Traffic Ordinance ( Cap 374) and its subsidiary legislation shall not include
the designated roads; and

   (e)  all references to sections, regulations and subregulations in the
        Road Traffic Ordinance ( Cap 374) and its subsidiary legislation shall
        be references to such sections, regulations and subregulations as the
        same are modified by this Bylaw and they shall be so construed
        accordingly.

(2) The provisions of the Road Traffic Ordinance ( Cap 374) and its subsidiary
legislation, applicable as modified, may be enforced by a police officer, a
traffic warden or an Authorized Person.
