SEWAGE SERVICES (SEWAGE CHARGE) REGULATION - CHAPTER 463A SEWAGE SERVICES (SEWAGE CHARGE) REGULATION - LONG TITLE Empowering section VerDate:30/06/1997 (Cap 463 section 12) [1 April 1995] (L.N. 59 of 1995) SEWAGE SERVICES (SEWAGE CHARGE) REGULATION - SECT 1 (Omitted as spent) VerDate:30/06/1997 (Omitted as spent) (Enacted 1995) SEWAGE SERVICES (SEWAGE CHARGE) REGULATION - SECT 2 Sewage charges VerDate:01/07/2007 (1) Subject to subsection (2), for the purposes of section 3(1) of the Ordinance, the prescribed rate for each cubic metre of water (other than water supplied specifically for flushing purposes) supplied during a billing period— (a) that commences in a period specified in column 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 shall be the rate specified in column 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 opposite to that period; (b) that commences on or after 1 April 2018 shall be the rate specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1. (L.N. 96 of 2007) (2) For a trade, business or manufacture listed in Schedule 2, the amount charged under section 3(1) of the Ordinance shall be equal to 70% of the volume of water supplied, other than water supplied specifically for flushing purposes, multiplied by the rate prescribed under this section. L.N. 45 of 2007) ___________________________________________________________________________ Note: The amount of sewage charge payable pursuant to this section shall be reduced in respect of- (a) the period commencing on 1 April 2002 and ending on 31 March 2003 (please see sections 2(2) and 5 of the Revenue (Variation and Reduction of Fees and Charges) Order 2002 (Cap 2 sub. leg. R); (b) bills scheduled to be issued within the period commencing on 1 August 2003 and ending on 30 November 2003 (please see sections 1 to 3 of the Sewage Services (Reduction of Sewage Charge and Trade Effluent Surcharge) Regulation 2003 (L.N. 131 of 2003)). SEWAGE SERVICES (SEWAGE CHARGE) REGULATION - SECT 2 Sewage charges VerDate:30/06/1997 (1) Subject to subsection (2), for the purposes of section 3(1) of the Ordinance, the prescribed rate shall be $1.20 per cubic metre of water supplied, other than water supplied specifically for flushing purposes. (2) For a trade, business or manufacture listed in the Schedule, the amount charged under section 3(1) of the Ordinance shall be equal to 70% of the volume of water supplied, other than water supplied specifically for flushing purposes, multiplied by the rate prescribed under this section. SEWAGE SERVICES (SEWAGE CHARGE) REGULATION - SECT 3 Reduction of sewage charge by Drainage Authority VerDate:30/06/1997 For the purposes of section 9(1)(d) of the Ordinance, no sewage charge shall be reduced, waived or refunded unless the volume of wastewater being discharged into a communal drain or communal sewer is not more than 85% of the volume of water on which the sewage charge is based.
