RESIDENTIAL CARE HOMES (ELDERLY PERSONS) REGULATION - SECT 6

Application for and registration as a health worker

(1) An application by a person for registration as a health worker shall be
made in such form and manner and be accompanied by such particulars as the
Director may determine.

(2) Subject to subsection (3) and on payment of the fee prescribed in
section 38, the Director may, in his discretion, register a person as a
health worker, and may impose such conditions in relation to that registration
as he thinks fit.

(3) The Director shall not register an applicant as a health worker unless he
is satisfied that the applicant is a person who is-

   (a)  qualified;

   (b)  competent; and

   (c)  fit and proper, to be registered as a health worker. (Enacted 1995)
