AMUSEMENT RIDES (SAFETY) (OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE) REGULATION - SECT 7
Log books to be kept
(1) The competent person in respect of an amusement ride shall keep and
maintain an operational log book in the prescribed form, which shall be made
up daily, and which shall contain the following information-
(a) the date;
(b) the names and duties of those operating the ride;
(c) the operating hours of the ride;
(d) confirmation of compliance with-
(i) daily inspections as recommended by the designer or
manufacturer of the ride and any other appropriate manuals; and
(ii) the provisions of section 10;
(e) details of any accident, malfunction or abnormal occurrence of the
ride;
(f) details of any emergency or rescue operation or practice of a rescue
operation; and
(g) any other information or occurrences that may be required by the
Director.
(2) The competent person in respect of an amusement ride shall also keep and
maintain a maintenance log book in the prescribed form which shall-
(a) show a record of periodic inspection and the execution of any
maintenance work carried out; and
(b) state the components serviced, the condition of such components and
the replacement of such components.
(3) The competent person in respect of an amusement ride shall permit the
Director to inspect and copy any log book kept by the competent person under
subsection (1) or (2), and the competent person shall afford facilities for
such inspection or copying as may be reasonably required by the Director.
