BOUNDARY AND ELECTION COMMISSION (ELECTORAL PROCEDURE) (FUNCTIONAL CONSTITUENCIES AND ELECTION COMMITTEE CONSTITUENCY) REGULATION - SECT 65
Procedure for postponement of an election, adjournment of poll or count under section 26A of the Legislative Council (Electoral Provisions) Ordinance (Cap. 381)

(1) A declaration by the Governor postponing an election or adjourning a poll
or a count as regards an election, pursuant to section 26A (1) of the
Legislative Council (Electoral Provisions) Ordinance ( Cap. 381) shall be
made in a notice-
(a) published in the Gazette; or
(b) if such publication is not practicable in the circumstances, published
by some other means determined by the Governor.
(2) The appointment for the purposes of section 26A(2) of the
Legislative Council (Electoral Provisions) Ordinance ( Cap. 381) of a date
for-
(a) holding an election in place of an election postponed;
(b) conducting a poll in place of a poll adjourned; or
(c) conduct of a count after an adjournment of a count, pursuant to
subsection (1) of that section shall be by a notice-
(i) referred to in subsection (1)(a);
(ii) published in the Gazette as soon as practicable after
publication of a notice under subsection (1)(a); or
(iii) if publication under paragraph (ii) is not practicable in the
circumstances, published by some other means determined by the
Governor. (Enacted 1995)
