BOUNDARY AND ELECTION COMMISSION (ELECTORAL PROCEDURE) (FUNCTIONAL CONSTITUENCIES AND ELECTION COMMITTEE CONSTITUENCY) REGULATION - SECT 52

Ballot papers which are not to be counted in counting the votes

For the purpose of counting the votes, any ballot paper-

   (a)  on which anything is written or marked by which the elector can be
        identified;

        (b)	with the word "TENDERED" and "             " endorsed on the 
front of it;

        (c)	with the word "SPOILT" and "            " endorsed on the front 
of it;

   (d)  which is an unused ballot paper;

   (e)  which is unmarked;

   (f)  not marked in accordance with section 36(a), (b) or (c), as may be
        appropriate;

   (g)  which the returning officer determines is void for uncertainty; or

   (h)  which is substantially mutilated, shall not be counted. (Enacted 1995)
