BOUNDARY AND ELECTION COMMISSION (ELECTORAL PROCEDURE) (FUNCTIONAL CONSTITUENCIES AND ELECTION COMMITTEE CONSTITUENCY) REGULATION - SECT 41
Keeping order at the polling station

(1) It shall be the duty of the presiding officer to keep order at his polling
station.
(2) If any person misconducts himself at or in the vicinity of a polling
station, or fails to obey a lawful order of the returning officer or
the presiding officer, such officer may order that person to leave the polling
station or the vicinity thereof immediately and if he fails to so leave, he
may be removed by a police officer, or by any other person authorized in
writing by the returning officer or the presiding officer to remove him and
the person so removed shall not, without the permission of the
returning officer or the presiding officer, enter the polling station during
that day.
(3) The powers conferred by this section shall not be exercised so as to
prevent an elector from voting at the polling station he is entitled to vote
at. (Enacted 1995)
