BOUNDARY AND ELECTION COMMISSION (ELECTORAL PROCEDURE) (FUNCTIONAL CONSTITUENCIES AND ELECTION COMMITTEE CONSTITUENCY) REGULATION - SECT 16

Notice of particulars of election agents

(1) The returning officer shall, in accordance with subsection (2)-

   (a)  send to each validly nominated candidate in respect of the
        constituency concerned;

   (b)  display in a prominent place outside the office of the
        returning officer, a notice containing the particulars of each
        election agent or, in the case of an appointment under section 15(8),
        particulars of the election agent so appointed, in the specified form.

(2) A notice under subsection (1) shall be sent-

   (a)  not later than 10 days beginning on the expiry of the nomination
        period; and

   (b)  in the case of-

        (i)    an appointment of an election agent made after the period of 10
               days referred to in paragraph (a); or

        (ii)   a replacement of an election agent under section 15(8), as soon
               as practicable after receiving the relevant notice of
               appointment. (Enacted 1995)
