BOUNDARY AND ELECTION COMMISSION (ELECTORAL PROCEDURE) (GEOGRAPHICAL CONSTITUENCIES) REGULATION - SECT 35
Procedure for voting

(1) Subject to section 36, an elector after he receives a ballot paper in
respect of a geographical constituency, or a ballot paper each in respect of a
geographical constituency and a functional constituency in a polling station
designated for a geographical constituency and one or more functional
constituencies, shall forthwith proceed into one of the compartments in the
polling station and there mark his ballot paper or ballot papers, as may be
appropriate, to indicate his choice of candidate and fold it so as to conceal
the mark or marks on it and put the ballot paper or ballot papers so folded
into the ballot box. (L.N. 221 of 1995)
(2) An elector shall vote without undue delay and leave the polling station as
soon as he has put the ballot paper into the ballot box.
(3) A person shall not put anything other than a marked ballot paper into the
ballot box.
(4) Except where otherwise provided in this Regulation, a person shall not
remove a ballot paper from a polling station. (Enacted 1994)
