Sealing of ballot boxes

Immediately before the commencement of the poll, the presiding officer shall
show each ballot box, empty, to such persons, if any, as are present within
the polling station, and then lock the ballot box, seal it with a seal
provided for the purpose or such other device as specified by the Chief
Electoral Officer, so as to prevent it from being opened without breaking the
seal and shall place it in his view for the receipt of ballot papers, and keep
it so locked and sealed. (Enacted 1994; L.N. 221 of 1995)
