Withdrawal of candidature

(1) A candidate may withdraw his candidature only during the nomination period
and in accordance with subsection (2).

(2) A withdrawal for the purposes of subsection (1) shall be effected by the
delivery-

   (a)  in person by the candidate or his election agent;

   (b)  to the returning officer;

   (c)  at the specified address; and

   (d)  within the nomination period, of a notice, which shall be-

        (i)    in the specified form; and

        (ii)   signed by the candidate and attested by one witness. (L.N. 221
